Devoted supporters of the pop star are calling for that a person who leaped a barricade and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers made its way down a promenade surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed features clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over the Star's Well-being

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another response on Instagram.

Several attendees also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Many of Singapore fans had lined up to meet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The film, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a two-part adaptation of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, securing a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
